Sumayyah is a senior majoring in Computational Biology. She is passionate about environmental, housing, and education policies. Outside of PPR, she is also involved in Pitt Pathfinders and Kappa Theta Pi technology Fraternity. In her free time, you can find her reading, hiking, baking, or finding her new favorite restaurant.

Content Manager

Keira is a junior majoring in Political Science with minors in Creative Writing and Classical Civilizations. She is particularly passionate about American education policy and Eastern European politics. Outside of PPR, she is involved with Model European Union and the Political Science Student Association. In her free time, you can probably find her reading, at a movie theater, or planning her next theme park adventure.

Business Manager

Claire is a senior studying Political Science, Economics, Arabic, and Global Studies. She is interested in political theory, human rights, and language study. Outside of PPR, Claire is involved in the Pitt Equestrian team and the Political Science Student Association. In her free time, she enjoys walks in Schenley Park, getting too invested in movies, and listening to music. 

PR Manager

Gideon is a junior studying Politics and Philosophy, Law and Criminal Justice Studies, and Croatian. Outside of PPR, he is also the Pitt Dems Membership Director and a brother in Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law. He is an aspiring attorney with experience in the legal field, on political campaigns, and in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Abigail is a freshman double majoring in Political Science and Economics. In addition to PPR, Abby is a member of the Political Science Student Association and Women in Economics. Abby also works as a student tour guide at Pitt. Abby enjoys reading, crocheting, and staying up to date on all kinds of pop culture.

Carter is a Junior double majoring in Philosophy and Political Science. His interests include political theory, constitutional law, and education policy. Outside of PPR, Carter is involved with Residence Life and Club Running. In his free time, he enjoys drinking coffee, listening to classical music, and spending time with friends and family.

Christian is a sophomore majoring in Political Science. Outside of PPR, he is a member of the College Democrats at the University of Pittsburgh. In his free time, he likes to read and play games with his friends.

Kai is a freshman studying Law, Criminal Justice, & Society and Public Policy. She is particularly passionate about human rights advocacy work, and her long-term goal is to become an attorney and/or a judge. Outside of PPR, she is involved with Filipino Students Association Committee and Women in Law. In her free time, she enjoys taking photos all around Pittsburgh, going to concerts and plays, and spending time with her loved ones.

Lina is a rising sophomore intending to study public policy at Pitt’s School of Public and International Affairs. Her favorite policy areas of interest include public health, public transportation, city planning, and public arts. In her free time, Lina loves to play piano, cook, and spend time with her friends and family!

Linden is a freshman majoring in International and Area Studies and minoring in Economics. She is interested in foreign policy, affairs, and sociological developments. Outside of PPR, Linden enjoys reading, napping, hanging out with her friends, and trying to keep her Duolingo streak alive.

Luka is a senior Business and Molecular Biology major. He intends to pursue a career in genetics. Luka has enjoyed writing for most of his life and is excited for the opportunity to write for PPR. He is a member of the Swim Club, Ping Pong Club, Debate Club, and Speech Club. In his free time, Luka enjoys reading fantasy books, walking through parks, and watching TV.

Miles is a freshman studying History. Outside of PPR, he is involved with the Petey Greene program and Pitt Street Medicine. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with friends and family, watching TV shows and movies, and playing tennis.

Nathan Warrell is a first-year in the Frederick Honors College, majoring in Politics and Philosophy with a minor in Public and Profesional Writing. He is a a frequent member of Philosophy Club and Outdoors Club. When not in school, he has a great appreciation for the outdoors and spends most his free time enjoying nature.

Pierce is a freshman majoring in electrical engineering with a minor in German. His policy interests are foreign policy and the Supreme Court. Outside of PPR, Pierce is involved in Pitt symphonic band and percussion ensemble. In his free time, Pierce loves music and is an avid skier and runner. Pierce is looking forward to running the Pittsburgh Marathon in May.

Priya is a junior majoring in Political Science and Economics with a minor in History. She is passionate about immigration rights and minority advocacy. In her free time you can find her exploring new coffee shops, traveling, and dancing.

Sam Podnar is a senior majoring in Politics and Philosophy with a minor in Economics. Outside of PPR, she is involved in the College Democrats at Pitt and works with a community organization as an Elsie Hillman Honors Scholar. She has worked on campaigns, in legislative offices, and in the nonprofit sector. In her free time, she enjoys running, writing, and reading.

Besides PPR, she is also involved in Take Back the Night, the Global Eyes Student Publication, and Hooks & Books. In her free time, she enjoys trying new places to eat, watching movies, painting, and walking around farmers’ markets.

Katie is a senior double-majoring in Economics and Political Science. She is also double minoring in Applied Statistics and English Literature. In PPR, Katie is particularly interested in economic development, education, and housing policies. Outside of PPR, she is part of the Ethics Bowl team at Pitt and some research projects here and there. In whatever free time she has, she loves to read, crochet, and listen to podcasts.

Leah is a freshman double majoring in Politics and Philosophy and the History of Art and Architecture. She is interested in arts policy, civil rights, and copyright law. Outside of PPR, Leah is involved in Breakthrough, the National Alliance on Mental Health, and the Art History Club. In her free time, Leah enjoys reading, listening to music with friends, and finding random dogs to pet.

Mary is a senior political science and communications major with a minor in law, criminal justice, and society (LCJS). Outside of PPR, she is a member of Pitt Pathfinders, Renter’s First Committee, Pitt Democrats, and works at the Writing Center on campus. She is also an undergraduate research assistant with the political science department. In her free time, Mary likes to play guitar and piano, read, shoot film photography, and play tennis with friends.

Benjamin Madoff is a junior double majoring in Political Science and Economics. He wants to go to law school and is interested in constitutional, economic and corporate law. Outside of PPR, he is involved in Best Buddies, the Behavioral Economics Club, and the Political Science Student Association. In his free time, he likes to read, listen to music, and spend time with his friends and family.

Caroline (she/her) is from Montgomery County, Pa and is pursuing majors in Political Science and Economics, a minor in Chinese, and a certificate in Human Rights and Social Justice. Her interests include K-12 educational equity, labor rights, AANHPI political participation, and the intersection between policy and law. Outside of PPR, she is President of the Asian Student Alliance and is a part of advocacy efforts for Asian American Studies and Ethnic Studies at the university. She is also Vice Chair of the Student Government Board (SGB) Judicial Committee and Outreach Director for the Pitt Civic Collective (PCC). Outside of school, Caroline enjoys drawing, crocheting, exploring new cafes in Pittsburgh, and listening to Mitski.

Hannah is a junior double majoring in Korean and Political Science, with a History minor and Asian Studies certificate. She’s interested in US-Asia relations, human rights, and pro-life policy. Outside of PPR, Hannah is involved with RUF, the Beatrice Institute, Veritas Forum, Global Eyes, and Choose Life @ Pitt. In her free time, she loves reading, watching movies, and exploring new places.

Elizabeth is a junior majoring in Political Science, Law, Criminal Justice and Society (LCJS) and Public and Professional Writing on the pre-law track. She is also a member of Phi Alpha Delta, Students Conquering Cold Cases, and Pitt’s Varsity Parliamentary Debate Team. Outside of the Classroom, Elizabeth can be found volunteering at the Pitt Pantry, thrifting and getting coffee, or having a movie night with friends.

Piper Bell is a senior majoring in anthropology and obtaining a certificate in Public & Professional Writing. Outside of PPR, she is a member of Helping Hands, a homeless outreach club. She also volunteers with Hello Neighbor, a refugee resettlement organization. In her free time, Piper likes to be in nature, write music, and read poetry. Her favorite writers include Mary Oliver, Patti Smith, and Adrianne Lenker.

Outside of PPR, Savannah is a member of Women in Law, Sigma Tau Delta Honors Society, Pitt Pathfinders, and is a student administrator for the OCC. In her free time, she enjoys reading, thrifting, and watching the Bills dominate the AFC East.
